With an average download speed of 17.8Mbps, Reliance Jio continued to dominate in 4G download speeds in October, new data from Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has said. Mumbai-headquartered Jio was followed by Idea with a speed of 9.1Mbps, which is 0.5Mbps more from the previous-recorded 8.6Mbps by TRAI’s MySpeed portal.

Even as Reliance Jio continued to lead in the 4G download speeds, the telecom giant witnessed a dip of 1.5Mbps in its average download speed in October. It is pertinent to note that the telecom regulatory body is still counting Vodafone and Idea as two separate telecom companies on its MySpeed portal.
